The bedroom drawings
The drawings in this ever expanding series is titled the bedroom drawings because I draw them in my bedroom, in bed. In this comforting space sitting up with paper on a hardback Louise Bougeois book I draw strictly from my imagination. Sometimes it begins as a vague shape that morphs into a recognizable thing or sometimes I start with an image in my mind that never goes well once on the page but becomes a jumping off point for something much more interesting. My unconscious uncoils like a centipede after being in defense mode, a tight and armored ball. The drawing has my complete focus.
