Florine is part super hero and part monster. I deploy this character from my imagination as an surrogate to express feelings of awkwardness, power, vulnerability, and strength. She changes shape depending on what object she is near or influence she is under. Florine expresses the physical and mental challenges of aging. As sculpture, Florine is being explored through the lens of influence, transformation and relationship with family.
